i'm sick. infected sinuses. i think i caught the bug from cookie last weekend. maybe, who knows. i plan to rest today. daughter and kids might come over for lunch tomorrow, it depends how i feel. i don't usually get colds etc. maybe i need some vitamins. other than that everything is ok. i got my new glasses and my sight has improved. only problem is that circles (plates and coffee cups) look oval instead of round and rectangles look like trapezoids. i seem to recall the same prob when i got my previous glasses so might just need some time to adjust. i can read the tv menu now. so that's good and the best part is they only cost $16 because of the cover of my private health thingy. they've never been that price before. usually i pay over $100. cool.
enjoy your weekend.

cars i have known and liked
i should call this post 'pimp my ride' but i hate that expression. i've been feeling a little nostalgic lately. i don't know why. i took the grandkids on a tour of my old neighbourhood recently and saw the house that i grew up in and places i used to go. my old school etc. which brings me on to the subject of some of the cars i've/we've had. the first car i remember was an old black vanguard. it was huge. dad was a chauffeur before he went into surveying and he used to clean and polish those cars to perfection. his garden, shed and cars were always immaculate just like mum used to keep the house. i remember when i was about 4 bleeding in it all the way to the hospital. we weren't allowed to sit on the bed when it was made. omg. how things change. these days i often don't even make the bed, but that's another story.

this is old betsy. i used to illegally drive her a few hundred miles to visit my mother and sister. no licence. i have one now. convenient for putting the scooter in the back when necessary |
dad later got a lovely cortina. i think i got a ding in it at the shopping centre |
my first boyfriend's fiat 500 |
i foolishly bought my first husband a customline when i got my inheritance. very large car and very small inheritance |

Techno Ectopics
Techno Ectopics just a little bit of fun from Khatrun, my son's band. a very talented group.
symphony
that's the name of the new library system. nothing to do with music. it doesn't sing along nicely coz we don't know how to do anything with it except the basics.
talk about stress. at least we are all in the same boat. we also jumped on board the one card system so that you can use your library card at several libraries across the state. eventually all libraries will be using this system. i had three hours training for this massive undertaking. ahhh. luckily i am flexible and used to change. every day when i go into work i can count on change. whether it's a new agency staff member or someone has changed the rules or introduced something new and not told anyone. i am retiring in two years if i last that long. i spose that if i look at it as a challenging learning experience at least that's a positive bent on things. sometimes i wonder what has happened to the library service i joined all those years ago. how is it possible to stuff it up so much in such a short time? i'm working today. kill me now
