lunch at the seaside

a gorgeous day weatherwise in adelaide today.  i took the new tram system for the first time to glenelg to lunch with my friend from perth.  we went to the glenelg surf life saving club,  upstairs in the bistro.  very nice view and the food was delish.  there was a large group of us and we all had a great day.  the trip there was quite smooth and relaxing.  glenelg is a popular seaside tourist destination here in adelaide and was chockers today with people taking advantage of the weather and the numerous restaurants and eating places there.

a very busy mosley square at glenelg with one of our new trams

    1. ours are very modern and nice to travel on. they should be coz we put up with the major roadworks for over a year. it was horrible. it took an hour to get from the entertainment centre to glenelg today but it was a smooth, relaxing trip. i've been on your trams once or twice and they were good. at least they arrive on time. :)

  4. Hi jo_anne, we have had trams since the late 1800s. They extended the track considerably recently and we have nice modern tram cars now. I used to travel in them all the time when I was little. You are right friends are the best :-)

  5. Trams, and new ones! Oh my, interesting.
We don't have trams and not many people use the local buses either to go into the city.
