I'm so sorry to hear of your suffering. I hope that it's mending well.
It's such a PAIN having a finger injury. Tyring to keep it dry when you're always doing things and needing to wash your hands is a nuisance of the highest degree!
When the cocky bit through the tip of my finger I remember being so grateful it wasn't my painting hand. It did a bit of nerve damage, so that it felt like a rubber band was wrapped around it tightly for months. The Dr said it would eventually re-route in 6 -10 mths, and it did.
Lots of healing thoughts being sent your way.
